The Port Huron Project is a series of reenactments of protest speeches from the New Left movements of the 1960s and '70s. Each event takes place at the site of the original speech, and is delivered by a performer to an audience of invited guests and passers-by. Videos, audio recordings, and photographs of these performances are presented in various venues and distributed online and on DVD as open-source media.
Feel free to e-mail any comments or speech suggestions to PortHuronProject@Gmail.com.

Just dropping by to say hi. Don't forget to check out our MARXISM FAQ and let me know what you think. If you would like to know more about who we are send me a message.
From one friend of Howard Zinn to another — Thanks for adding me. ¶ People hear only what they want, so facts alone won't wake them; they need inspiration too. ¶ This world's evils have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, murderers — in market, government, & elsewhere — believe we're all separate, motivated only by self-interest, greed, fear. They want us to share that belief. They use it to justify themselves, to keep us apart, to shape the world's political & economic systems, perpetuating war & poverty. Their power comes not so much from cabals as from incessant propaganda that we hardly notice, implicit in the background assumptions of tv & newspapers. ¶ But you & I have found a better light inside ourselves & our friends. It's in everyone, if we can just wake them; we're all one flesh & blood. Let's spread that vision, for until we do our other advances will be minor & temporary. Theists & atheists alike, let us sing of our brotherhood. ¶ Peace & communication are one subject, not two, & no one can know that subject perfectly until we all do. To teach anyone anything, you must lead them out of the maze of their preconceptions; but that means they must teach you their maze, which requires leading you out of yours! ¶ The outcome of the ideological struggle is not yet determined, so no one can afford to be just a spectator. Join the movement, if you haven't already: get involved in whatever way feels right for you. We must all learn from one another; each of us knows only part of the song. Question authority. Keep fighting, loving, hoping, singing. Hand in hand, we may still be able to heal this world. ¶ The flag of the USA, once a symbol of democracy & freedom, has now come to stand for plutocracy, consumerism, imperialism. Small flags are being sold in grocery stores, in anticipation of July 4. I'll wear mine upside down. ¶ Peace, love, hope, revolution. More details on my web page. — Eric

Posee tu propio tiempo y conocerás a tu propia mente"
What you guys are doing is really great, and valuable both from an activist point of view and from a cultural point of view. So many things wrong today were correctly identified in the past, what you're doing is so valuable. Thanks, and I look forward to coming out to a reading soon.
thought for the day... so i finally got a jizzob!yep today was the first day of work. got a job at jostens stuffin envelops n puttin pappers threw a machine, pretty easy n after i do the same thing over n over agian for so long my mind starts to wonder, well as the day went on it started rainin n stormin n i started thinkin about how much im gonna hate workin inside every night, night went on an i started thinking more n more about the millions of papers i was puttin into these envelops n machines, all together about atleast 20,000 letters, which is alot of papers in each, well than i got to wondering why are these not recycled????????????????????? hmmmmmmmmmm thought about it for awhile n then thought even if the letters they used to send to other buisness's where recycled wouldnt that make alot of other buisness's think twice? wouldnt it save cost's for the buisness? what if people that worked at these buisness's that cared about the tree's they hug sent out recycled letter's to there work place or friends work place telling them n makin em relize hey you, your killin our tree's!would they not also rather have a world filled with tree's than a world filled with buildings n smoke filled sky's? thought about it some more n know that it could also have a very bad down side if not used to the best of it's knowlege or however you spell it. save the world yet create hell in our own eyes, because yes it is very possable the more we avoid it. sooooooooooooooooooooo, only using this an putting this to the most positive way possable, knowing every side effect it could have, negative concequences for those that jus always do befor looking, i warn that with one solution you have to follow with many more, so as a start to a solution, all i have to say is go out buy some recycled paper, write a letter on it or leave it blank what ever
