...Pony Pants has also been compared to Le Tigre, The Fucking Champs, The B-52's, Pretty Girls Make Graves, The Blow, Tsunami Bomb and Iron Maiden but it's more like all of these mixed up together...
Fueled by friendship and love, courage and fear, humor and struggles, beer and coffee, Pony Pants writes anthems for you: road trip sing alongs, lonely bike ride sonnets, bedroom dance parties, make out soundtracks…The beats are hot and pumped up, anchoring The Brothers Ellis’ beautifully devastating twin guitar attacks. Emily J.K.'s lyrics extend an articulate and unpretentious middle finger at the closed cache associated with indie music. Without reservations her lyrics burn with intensive honesty and heaps of love. Since 2005, Pony Pants has been tearing up basements, living rooms, backyards, DIY spaces, garages, bars, clubs, dance floors, public parks, beer stores, bike shops and private parties around the country and loving every second of it.

sometimes i get mad when you rage too hard in the living room while i'm trying to sleep, but other times you lull me to sleep with the sweet sounds of a star powered santana and it's like i could never complain about anything ever again
those are a privelage, not a right, don't come crying to us when the audience complains about your un-flashy penises. you puffy paint guys are alright though. if your ever need us, holler. -Spook Tza.
OK, so here's what we're going to do for the 13th in Athens
Were having the show at:
Fort Kid 47 Mound St. Athens, Ohio 45701
It's going to be an earlier show unless our neighbors assure us they won't call the cops. There's going to be a potluck and porch band early, and then we're going to have a bisexual/queer(straights more than allowed to attend) mixer upstairs before the show, if that's cool with you (I'm assuming it is). So yeah, what do you think?
