I slept pretty much all day today!! We did a lot, but I still have another week of stuff to do! I should have a car tomorrow, not the sexiest thing but it runs! I STILL have not had any sushi (I'm holding out for my favorite sushi companions!), oh and how's your crochet and all the wonderful people in the class???
No, weekend's been going great! The only thing that might put a damper on it is that it's raining and I'm supposed to play golf today!
I've always used "rolling with the punches" as just an expression of taking things in stride and as they come. But I guess 'punches' does kind of add that negative connotation...

The package.. no I did not get it and your package is the THIRD one now that has mysteriously disappeared. Some books from Amazon and one from Eppicock. Well, what address did you send it to? OMG! You're DRIVING in Japan!?! Brave, girl! When I was there they asked me if I wanted to get my driver's license and I said, NO, THANKS! Just riding around on base on the left side of the car confused me! I would always walk around to the wrong side of the car to get in. It had to be confusing to the soldiers who returned to the US on leave and had to drive on the right side of the road again!
I experienced 5 earthquakes when I was there! Enjoy your stay there though! The Japanese culture is a wonderful experience not everyone can enjoy and you'll be returning to the US soon enough!

I couldn't believe the prices in Japan either! RIDICULOUS! And, that's why I always bought my stuff on base, even souvenirs.
