Phronesis is a DEATH/GRIND project that was started in the summer of 2002. What we do is play music that we all love and have come to appreciate. We strive for a sound that is different and entirley our own that ranges from your everyday guttural/processed pissed off sounding vocals,hyper blasting drumming,crunching guitars and overall bombardment of grinding noise. We all have many influences that we all bring to the table in our writing process.Our lyrics are not all about death,hating women and eating babies, but deal with politics,drug abuse,suicide,war and many other subjects.
We were originally called Rabid Impulse. But due to line-up changes we thought it was best to change our name to Phronesis. We have had many friends come and contribute to our sound, and we greatly appreciate all of them, Eight to count. All of them left a lasting impression with all of us. We've shared the stage at many shows and fests with many great bands such as Exhumed, Circle of Dead Children,Cholera,Inhuman Dissilency,Drogheda,Origin,A Life Once Lost,Saprogenic,Mutilated,Embalmer,The Red Chord,Arsis,Necrophagist,Fuck the Facts,Psyopus,Terminally Your Aborted Ghost and many many other amazing bands!! too many to name!!
