Sounds Like
Sweet little tunes and smarty-pants lyrics on top of dubious guitar. They say tragedy+time=comedy. Therefore, comedy-time=tragedy. So if you listen to my songs while going back in time, you will get depressed. This is why I was taken off the "Back to the Future" soundtrack.

"Phoebe Kreutz's chanteusey delivery and comic writing were genuinely funny."- THE NEW YORK TIMES "No matter how often her lyrics may shock and offend, she is endearlingly cute and wise." - QUEENS AMONGST IDIOTS (U.K.)
"Musically, her simple song structures are lifted to near-genius level by her clear, bright vocals and vivid personality...as melancholy as they are witty."-SANDMAN (U.K.)
"Witty, bittersweet"-ISTHISMUSIC.COM (U.K.) "Awesome"- LONDONIST (U.K.)
"Kookily cute... Adorably quirky, her voice soars over spiky strumming like a countrified Regina Spektor, using craftily contagious songs to woo the heart of the audience." - SKINNY MAG (U.K.)
"Phoebe Kreutz plays straightforward, acoustic folk rhythms with a huge dose of wacky humor and cleverly written lyrics."- THE SAN DIEGO UNION TRIBUNE
"Kreutz is a hilarious songstress, demonstrating the broad-base and sense of humor inherent to the genre." - THE DAILY BAROMETER (OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY)
"The Queen of Joke-Folk is Worth Hearing More than Twice. You Just try and Keep a Straight Face. Phoebe should be an MTV star already. In the World of RadioMike, She Already is." - THEFEVEREDBRAINOFRADIOMIKE.COM
"It has been said that Phoebe Kreutz sings like a lovechild of Joan Baez and Weird Al Yankovic. To me, she sounds like a female version of Adam Sandler, only more focused on the quality of her music than that renowned comedian-turned-songwriter. Working well within the Antifolk community, Kreutz also keeps true to her promise to never write about her feelings."- THE STANFORD DAILY

September 2008 @ 9 p.m. CLEMENCE FRESCHARD (Bln/Dijon) + DREW VICTOR (NYC) + Dj POPSCHUTZ http://www. myspace. com/freschard Clemence Freschard was born in Dijon, Burgundy in 1981. She met Andre Herman Düne in Paris in 2003 and recorded a few songs that he wrote for her. On Her first e.p.,"Neon Orange" she only sang, then she went to New York, got herself an old electric guitar, worked on her English, started writing her own material and then recorded her 2nd e.p., "Shower Gel". Since 2004 she has lived in Berlin. In 2005 she recorded her first LP, "Alien Duck", a mix of electronic and acoustic sounds. She now has a cover band with AHD called Kreuzberg Merkezi. She plays in New York, in England, in France, and in Berlin. In 2006 she recorded her new album 'click click' with Leo Bear Creak and Stanley Brinks.
Drew Victor is based out of New York City. Last March, "The Telling" was released (yes,a concept record) followed up by a European tour. Drew will be featured on a tribute album to longtime folk artist Kath Bloom (with Bill Callahan, Josephine Foster,etc.). Spring 2007 brought the release of "The Word Has Been Given" full length. Before New York City Drew Victor self-released albums, toured, and played locally in both Seattle and Minneapolis. He has shared bills with such acts as The Decemberists, Damien Jurado, Marissa Nadler, and Alela Diane
