The fact that a MIT educated Proffesor lost to a man that drank Boart's wife's breast-milk says alot about the current state of the Libertarian Party.

Mr. Phillies, I am still pulling for you down here in Houston, TX. I know I haven't been as vocal on your behalf over the last month but I have been working on my own, Congressional, campaign. Everyone I have talked to, I have told to just vote a straight LP ticket in November. Why? Because it looks like there will be no big party candidates I can suggest to them.

Together, as liberty loving Americans, we can make a difference.

For those looking for 'change', you can't get that voting for the same two parties that have screwed this nation up and put us where we are today. Make a real change and make a real difference. Vote for George Phillies and the Libertarian Party as a whole!

Professor Phillies:
You probably know that your fellow presidential candidate, so-called "Liberaltarian" Mike Gravel is being denied participation in the next Democratic debate.

Gravel speaks his mind on many issues, on which you and many others may not agree, but it can be argued that he is pushing the discussion among Democrats in the direction of Libertarian principles.

In the same way that Libertarian participation in a general election forum opens the discussion to ideas not otherwise discussed by the Democrats and Republicans, participation by a progressive candidate who shares some Libertarian principles opens the discussion among Democrats to new ideas, or at least reveals the weaknesses of the centrist Democrats' stances. For this reason alone, Gravel is worth having in the Democratic debates.

Gravel is being shut out based on arbitrary requirements that seem to be set up specifically to exclude Gravel, while allowing inclusion of other, more mild-mannered, "long-shot" candidates.

Most critically at this time, stifling debate among candidates on the national stage is not the best way to awaken the American public to the impending disaster of an attack on Iran. If anything, Gravel should be applauded for keeping this crucial issue in the discussion.

Please speak out in support of Mike Gravel's continued participation in the democratic process, so he can continue to speak out against war with Iran.

VICTORY!!!!

I just got an email back from the lady I asked people to email about adding George Phillies name to the list (See my post below). This was her reply:

"Hi Mike:

I'd be glad to add George Phillies. He'll be up by mid-week.

Best,

We need to get together and contact Tom and MTV to find out why there are no LP candidates being represented in the http://www.myspace.com/election2008 events.

I was disappointed when I posted a comment on that MySpace page and it didn't make it to the messages when they went in to approve comments. There is no reason to exclude or deny my post as it was not inflammatory and was not any different from other posters that made comments supporting their candidate of choice.

Help the cause, send a message to the powers that be and let us get recognition. People need to know that there are better choices out there than the same two groups of goons.

Speaking of events. We all need to contact Tom and MTV and ask why there are no LP candidates represented in the discussions at www.myspace.com/election2008

People need to know there are better choices out there than the same old two party goons!

This post is more for your supporters. The best way to get a third party candidate to be taken seriously by the media, which is needed for a good run, is to find ways to get on the TV. Let's overwhelm the media with requests for a Phillies interview. I'm heading to colbertnation.com now to get started there. If anyone would be interested in an interview with Phillies, it would be Colbert. After that, I plan to hit up some of the cable news networks. This is a call to arms. Hit up all the media outlets with requests for a Phillies interview!

We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people. ~John F. Kennedy
