"This is a collection of truely inspiring music, and played beautifully by a true master of his art"
- Scottish Lion, Dec. '06
Peter grew up in the small village of Merrickville,
located in the Ottawa Valley, Canada. This area is
famous for its fiddle players, step dancing and maple syrup.
He began playing the Highland pipes at the age of 12 and
began playing the Uilleann pipes and Irish whistle 4 years
later at the age of 16. Growing up he had great opportunities
to play with some of Canada's finest pipe bands. As well, he
was also lucky enough to receive lessons from some of the
best known pipers in the world. It was these lessons from
elite pipers at a very young age, that helped to mold him into
the player he is today. Peter also had an accomplished solo career, he has won several championship supreme titles in North America as well as gold medals in both light music and Piobaireachd at the North American championships in Maxville. His solo career took him to Gr.1 before taking a leave from his solo's to play with International touring band Gaelic Storm.
After years of competing as a soloist and in pipe bands Peter is now touring internationally with Gaelic Storm. He has been playing with them full time since 2004 and has played venues with artists such as; Barenaked Ladies, Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra, Sister Hazel, Great Big Sea, and the Chieftains..... When Peter is not on the road he resides in the great city of Chicago where he spends his time teaching bagpipes, playing in sessions, playing with the Midlothian pipe band and trying to stay out of trouble, so he doesn't get shipped back to Canada
Glad to see you're still moving after all those shots Thursday night. Great show in Charlotte, looking forward to seeing the band in Dayton. ~the girl in the elevator. The one with the girl with the giant spider on her shoulder.
Wow fancy that.... online at the same time. It must be really early there, as it's really late here in Australia! Looking forward to seeing you again. Jessi
It's so unfair. For the next three weeks we have music festivals here. Why the hell are you guys playing other places? French Quarter Fest and Jazz Fest...that's where you guys should be playing at!! You'd knock their socks off. Please try to fit them in next year. BB

While the Sunday show was great, I have to say AMAZING show on Saturday night, man. I'd never seen you talk into a mic before in the 10 or so times I've seen you guys, so that was a first for me. Couldn't believe they got you to slide into the water! Hope you dried off fast, I know the rest of us in the audience didn't.. -Kenz (from the Ships and Dip family that keeps coming back..)
Thanks for the great show at the Cleveland Irish Fest last Sunday. I'm glad I found your site, because I never knew you had a solo album. Love listening to the pipes! Looks like I'll have to put in an order from CDBaby.com and pick up Ellery and Ryan's work, too.
