2008 has been an outstanding year for Pete. His Global Network radio show is now syndicated worldwide, including Friday and Sunday nights on Ministry Of Sound radio, Global Radio in Ibiza and Push FM in London, amongst many others. Pete has also been very busy on the production front, having recently signed an album project, ‘Doman & Gooding’, along with studio partner James Doman, to Positiva Records. The first single, ‘Runnin'’, is due for release in February 2009 and is already shaping up to be massive. Early support has come from Radio 1’s Pete Tong on his Essential Selection show, while remixes from Mark Knight & Funkagenda will follow soon. In addition, Pete and James Doman have launched their Heaven Recordings label, with their first release Doman & Gooding 'Dig This' getting early support from Carl Cox, Dubfire, Steve Angello, Groove Armada, Steve Lawler, Sander Kleinenberg, Shlomi Aber, Timewriter and beyond. ‘Dig This’ will be followed with their excellent remake of the 808 State classic 'Pacific State', which again has seen support from Pete Tong on Radio 1, and support from a very long list of premier league DJs. Earlier this summer, Pete and one of his other studio partners, Afterlife, released 'Dark Star' under their No Logo pseudonym on Urbantorque. A massive underground hit, the track came with support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Digweed, Fanciulli, and an excellent remix from Francois Dubois (aka Funk D'Void).
On the DJ front, 2008 has also been a groundbreaking year seeing Pete make his debut at Glastonbury, plus dates at We Love at Space in Ibiza as well as other island dates at Pacha, Privilege and the opening of Cafe Mambo, where Pete made his name with his 10 season residency from 1996-2005. In the UK, Pete has been playing for Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance, The Gallery, Mission (Leeds) and Yello (Belfast) to name but a few. One of the most popular DJs on the international circuit, so far this year he’s played China, South Korea, Egypt, Norway, Canada, Denmark, Serbia, Sweden, Brazil, Greece and beyond. Pete also continues to write for M8 magazine with his PG Tips page, complete with his hottest recommendations for the month across all genres.
