I Persecution nascono nell’estate del 2007,dopo che il chitarrista Davide Bernardi propose al batterista Daniele Ciavola di formare un gruppo di vecchio stampo thrash metal,però c’era bisogno di un bassista e così chiamarono Giorgio Mazzullo.Dopo un paio di mesi si unì anche il cantante Giovanni Deiana.Durante le prove ci fu una mezza litigata cn il bassista, prima della registrazione sono stati costretti a convincere Giovanni a suonare il basso.
I Persecution si ispirano fondamentalmente a gruppi di thrash metal americano e europeo;i riff accattivanti della chitarra,le frequenze martellanti del basso,il violento suono della batteria e la voce aggressiva ne fanno un sano mix di violenza e brutalità!
