Marcia (aka PTX)'s Interests
General
Theology and Politics... yea, it's a FUN mix! Especially this year... And, no, you may not assume anything and put me into a mold - my views would surprise even YOU!
Music
I grew up with a musician for a father and have married into music. I have wide and varied tastes including traditional and contemporary classical, many many kinds of metal, contemporary jazz, hard rock and world music. Favorites artists would be:
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Christopher Parkening, Symphony X, Brainstorm, NightWish, Rush, Al DiMeola, Lee Ritenour, Infectious Grooves, Neil Schon, David Arkenstone, Enigma, Metallica, Rez Band..... I could just go on and on and on.....
Music is a life-changing means of communication. It connects all people, transcending boundaries of race, age, gender, and spirituality.
Movies
I am picky, picky, picky about movies. I'd rather read the book first.
Television
The older I get, the less I watch....I usually lean in to see what hubby is watching and then decide if I want to watch with him....
Books
Waaaaaaaaaaay too many to list! And even with the favorites, I usually don't read the same book more than twice! Except one book, that ancient one - I tend to read it over and over again, it never seems old. It has a lot of wisdom and is still quite an adventurous read.
About me: Hmmm.... I've had long and varied experiences in life. I've lived in four states, homeschooled over 10 years (son now in college), and still live very simply with my beautiful husband of 21 years. I am cherished and my heart is filled with peace.
It's really a good way to live - there's even an ancient book that will guide you into it. I'll tell you more if you're interested....
Thank you for the prayer, trust me it has did its job...my mind is changing, as are my beliefs....I see only destruction on my present path...Thank you for not giving up.
I just wanted to tell you again. Thank you, your husband and your boy for the nice things you gave me. Pride might be a sin but I am very proud to have them. Thank you again.
That's about as close as I can physically get to being embraced by some genuine Southern hosptality at the moment.. and it warms me through and through... :D
I'd love that alot myself! Thank you so much for the kind words.
As far as *I'm* concerned, you've lived, loved and endured long enough to not be taken into question for having and seeking your own mind and heart on any matter. ;)
