CHRIS PAVEY completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours from Monash University in the year 2000. He undertook a double major, in History and Politics, for this degree, and then subsequently completed his Honours Thesis on Medieval Middle Eastern History. His thesis focussed upon the use of religion in Medieval Politics and the broader ramifications of this policy.
Following his graduation, CHRIS undertook a 2 year teaching assignment in Japan and then a further 1 year assignment in Prague, The Czech Republic, teaching English as a Second Language in both countries.
Upon his return to Australia, CHRIS undertook a Masters degree in Creative Writing at the University of Canberra which he completed in 2007. As part of this degree, CHRIS embarked upon a journey that has seen two shorter works published and his longer project, A Saxon Story , concieved and embarked upon.
Atuen embarks upon a life journey that he determins will end in a complete and rightful revenge upon the King, Charlemagne, for the deaths of his parents. But is murder really his best form of vengeance?
Together with a cognizant Frisian companion, Liudulf, Atuen travels to the capital, Aachen, and schemes his opportunity for revenge.
However, Charlemagne’s loyal advisor, Count Theodoric, with his passionate dislike for Saxons, stands in Atuen’s way.
Meanwhile, in the darkest depths of Arabia, a young Persian girl, Nikoo, loses her father to the regions own bloody war of rebellion and independence. Brutally snatched from the remainder of her family, Nikoo finds herself destined for the life of a concubine, thrust upon the famed Caliph Harun al-Rashid's court of opulence, only to be suddenly sent away, to Europe, bound for the terrifying bedroom of the great Frank king, Charlemagne.
And so two paths do enevitably cross, and does begin, A Saxon Story...

Hi Chris~ I hope your day gets better... did you know crushed pineapple doesn't lose its flavor and crushing releases its juice? Hope creativity is released at this time... :)

btw... i'm completely gone from editred now! --- kind of sat to know thats where we met almost 2 years ago and I've walked away from it. Sigh. the site sucks though!
Remember this ?
"We are the best We're in disguise We're writing poorly For sake of a bigger surprise When we're publishing novels And laughing all the way the bank You can leave your deposit receipt For some girl behind you and think We did it Jenn and I We've reached the top We're touching the sky" ?
You'll always be my best brother-writer-australian-friend!
hey chris, how are you? hope married life is treating you well and work is okay? I have submitted my dissertation and have one more exam to go and then I am finished! I made such a blunder in my exam yesterday it was the big one as well... I took the question paper home only to find I had not followed the instructions, there were 8 passages and it said COMMENT on 3, I however had commented on all eight... I feel so gutted, i've thrown my chances of a first out the window!I can't believe it!!!! x
Well to be super honest I've not been very active on either site in a very long time... however... writers cafe is definitely where I most like to be. Editred really is a disappointment nowadays. Get your stuff on Writerscafe and I might just head over there myself for a while. lol.
I just posted a forty mile long blog that gives a tiny bit of detail into my life. More personal things can be discussed through email. I read your Marx/Opium piece again the other day... it makes so much more sense now with many of the things I've been researching and discovering.
Okay nevermind I looked up the album myself like a true fan would. And did you know Tim Mcgraw does song with them. In case you didn't know (because you're such a rocker) thats a country singer. Bon Jovi has already gone so country... please
