Music
Since I'm into podcasting, I've been listening to mostly podsafe music. Lots of awesome tunes can be found at the Podsafe Music Network. I especially love female musicians and mellow stuff.
Movies
We don't go to the movie theater but watch dvds/ppv constantly. Some current favorites include Sideways, Something's Gotta Give, Phantom of the Opera,
Television
I don't watch much regular TV (hate sitcoms and the like...). I usually have The NFL Network on in the background most of the time. Also watch New England Sports Tonight, Inside the NFL, etc. and the news.
But, if I do watch regular shows they are Rome, CSI, 60 Minutes.
Books
Reading is one of my passions so there are way too many to list. In the summer, I can read a book a day.. Some current favorites are Lake of the Dead Languages, The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons, anything by Jennifer Weiner, Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson...
Heroes
Those people in my life who have dealt with adversity, YET STILL stay positive and refuse to let it get them down. They know who they are: RP,TB,LP... always positive.
I'm a wife, mother, teacher and HUGE Patriots fan!

This beautiful illustration comes from a vintage book published in July, 1937. I will be auctioning it on eBay. It's called "Ameliaranne at the Farm". Isn't it a darling illustration!
The Happiest of Thanksgivings to your and yours from me and mine.
This beautiful illustration comes from a book I recentlyt sold entitled "Legacy-- Tradition and Innovation in Northwest Coast Indian Art." It was purchased by a man in Wasilla Alaska. The NW coastal Indians have used masks for generations to symbolize the moon. When I look at it, I think mask or moon?
Here is a part of a poem you might find as thought provoking as I do.
The world is like a mask dancing. If you want to see it you don't stand in one place.
Here it is the end of October. This illustration comes from a book I just sold by Thomas Mcknight. I love it for its simplicity and details at the same time. Doesn't it have the feeling of a more peaceful world ?
Last week we narrowly escaped the ravishing fires in San Diego county. Settling back into a routine feels so comforting. Our main task is preparing evacuation boxes to store in our garage so that the next time we are ready to go at a moment's notice.
I hope you are well and looking forward to the joys of fine November days. Stay prepared for all that November brings. ...
