Pandora’s Ball was founded in summer 2005 by Peter Strobel, Daniel Matt and Arthur Schlichting, and the lineup has finally been completed in summer 2007 by Markus Schillberg, after a long and unsuccessful search for a bass player (which seem to be very rare these days).
During the last couple of months we played our first club gigs in Freiburg, which couldn’t have been a better beginning because of a fantastic audience, and right now we are working on extending our live set and hope to play the new songs on stage soon.
The stylistic direction of the band is determined by heavy blues-based guitar work, combining rhythm-driven riffs and melodic voicings. The musical roots reach from classic 70s rock over early 90s grunge era bands to modern prog rock. The mix of all of these different influences is an important part of the band’s sound.
