Carl Skanberg's Interests
General
I write and draw. I read. I paint. I'm compelled to sculpt when there is something sculptable in front of me. Sometimes I play my uke or my guitar.
But mostly, I spend my time in my car or my cubile, so apparently, I'm interested in money most of all. Or maybe it's offspring starvation prevention. I'm not sure what sounds better.
I also like to judge myself.
Music
I can't pin anything down right now. Old stuff, new stuff, borrowed stuff, and blue stuff.
Movies
Cartoons and documentaries. I don't feel too strongly about the stuff in between, but I enjoy it all.
Television
Sports, documentaries and cartoons.
Books
Vonnegut, Hemingway, Twain, the standard stuff... and Sox fans might want to brush up on their Cervantes if they want to get a better grasp on my next Sox comic strip series.
Both places are amazing, but I HIGHLY recommend Spring Training first. It was seriously the best baseball experience I've ever had. It's like a minor league game with major league players. So awesome!
HAPPY OPENING FRIGGIN' DAY. After this disastrous winter, I can't wait to watch the fellas hit the field...hope they packed their passion, grindyness, swagger and some decent pitching.
Awesome work on Palehose 8, loving what I've seen so far. And I've got to say, thanks for making it a Don Quixote theme. I checked it out from the library where I work so I can keep up with the strip. Hilarious book, I love it. Haven't had time to get very far though, I'm at the part with the goatherders and the beautiful girl. Keep up the good work!
