   Jessica Marie's Blurbs
About me:
I was raised in a small town in central Pennsylvania by a mom who was partial to purple eyeshadow and a dad who was a shoe salesman. They had another baby and it grew into my sister Amy. As a direct result of the time I was born and raised in, I sometimes believe that inanimate objects have feelings and that unicorns are probably real.
I blog here.

Also, I blog here: Folk and Fairy: Clever Finds for the Faerie-inclined. If you like art, craft, and writing that is inspired by fairy tales, come see what I'm collecting on this blog.
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

Important assessments:

You Are a Mermaid
You are a total daydreamer, and people tend to think you're flakier than you actually are.
While your head is often in the clouds, you'll always come back to earth to help someone in need.
Beyond being a caring person, you are also very intelligent and rational.
You understand the connections of the universe better than almost anyone else.
You Passed 8th Grade Science
Congratulations, you got 8/8 correct!
Who I'd like to meet:
People I can be comfortable around. Also, Vickie Howell, Jack White, C.S. Lewis, Edith Schaeffer, Daniel Handler, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jack Zipes, Bill Willingham, T.S. Eliot, and probably many more.

I was trapped in a classroom again after a year, so the knitting was a release. And really, I used size 9 needles so it didn't take long at all.

So, The Golden Compass comes out in December, and we're definitely seeing it.
I practically peed myself from excitement when I saw the trailer for it before Harry Potter [my company had not read the books].

I am wasting time. Mostly b/c the best way to start my first rotation as a fourth year is by getting very little sleep. Well, that's my theory. I'll let you know how it goes!

Ah, a sweater. I haven't attempted anything more challenging than mittens. Although I'm working on a beautiful blanket. I am planning on a wonderful shrug though. It's from a book you should definitely check out, it's called Fitted Knits.

I'm watching Spirited Away on TCM, yes TCM. They replaced the usual film noir for a classic (albeit dubbed) anime. And although I prefer the subtitles, I'm enjoying it thoroughly and thinking of you!

Happy birthday!

I told my friend Jill about your folk and fairy blog and she's really into it. I convinced her that it's OK for her to post, even though she doesn't know you.

ok lady. here's the dealy-o. beth and i are leaving maryland about 10 am on friday. we should be in the burgh by 2:30 or 3:00ish. i have to pick up mara in east liberty at 5 and then drive them down to allison pearson's wedding which starts at 6:00. so i was thinking that when we get into the city if you aren't busy, we could hang out before i have to take them to the wedding, then we can hang out while they're at the wedding. your thoughts?

Hey Jessica!! How are ya?? I played an April Fools joke on myself and got up an hour early today (I totally forgot about my atomic clock changing on its own eventhough I changed it when we were supposed to a couple of weeks ago) so I have some time to kill before I go to work. :-) I hope all is well with you and your hubby. Things here are pretty much the same. I CAN'T wait for spring when everything starts to blooom. It always cheers me up. Anyhoo.... have a wonderful day and hopefully no one plays any mean tricks on you today. Take care and God bless (Happy Palm Sunday, too!!) :-)

I called you last night but you didn't pick up. I would have called your home phone, had I the number.

My dear sister, I will pray for you!
Shall I reserve a ticket for you to see A School for Scandal here at Geneva? I hear it's a riot.

Would you be interested in going to a concert on the first of April? Here is a link for one of the opening acts, the reason for my going: Owen.

Did Marianne tell you that my uber-conservative bible study keeps challenging my about evolution? I think one of them is no longer sure of my salvation.

All I can do is quote Annie Dillard--"Week after week we witness the same miracle: that God is so mighty he can stifle is own laughter."

One morning I put the earrings in, and by the middle of the day, I only had one left! The other fell out somewhere and I have no idea where it could be. I'm very upset about it, since they were my most favorite pair of earrings I've had.

I just really like owls.

Banjo Corudroys would be a good name, though I prefer Cuppycakes Snow and Cold Weather.
