Outpost is a five piece band out of Portland, OR that blends funk-hop and reggae to generate high energy organic dance music. Their focus on positive vibes is product of three northwest natives; emcee's tmpILL, P.Hill and guitarist Chris Couch share a love a life and a demand for social justice and responsibility. The sound is rounded out by east coast transplants Oscar on drums and Tyler Stauss on bass.
In only a year Outpost recorded their debut album, Crack the Pavement, and have had successful sales locally and in Japan. They also won a hometown battle of the bands and netted a recorded session on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. They have traveled from San Diego, CA to Moscow, ID, been given airtime on Humboldt's KMUD, and opened for their first national act, The Aggrolites. They closed out the year with a sold out Halloween show at The Fez Ballroom.
Outpost hopes to make 2008 a special year by touring in new regions and playing with more great bands. With every show the crowds grow and the message flows.
