hey guys, i can't come to your show because i'm at school in portland. hope you're all well. i really like the songs on your demo page. hadn't heard those before.
I'm really really excited for the show, I have a court date that day, but fuck the law! I know once they chase me to the mint, the spell of the music will change their attitudes and it will turn into a silent movie musical. you'll see
I had a dream once about Other People at this really big venue that I feel like I've been to before and the scenario is it's the first time I watch you play and I'm instantly struck by the power of the music: gabe has a guitar and is playing a song that is so epic and tasteful that it almost hurts, you can feel the genius creeping and I simultaneously realize how good you are. Coinciding with the music is this weird narrative about how after "the explosion, he was the only one left" and talks about how his parents died. All of the pain goes into the songs and I can hear it and feel it and the originality and ear for the music is mind-boggling. The day after the dream I felt I had just replaced the dream with you guys, but I just realized that it was other people who I was dreaming about, just a totally unconscious interpretation of the music, which isn't how I consciously think of you. I don't know if you really care about this story, but I feel so strongly about your music I thought I should tell you that it's even in my dreams.
