| General | Reading, writing, 'rithmetic. Long walks on the beach, in the woods and off short piers. Most of my peers are short, in comparison. Except for those who are taller. Funny how life works out like that, eh? Oh yeah, interests. Photography. Painting (sheds, houses, my shoes). Procrastination. Collecting consumer goods. Sleep. Damn, there are a lot of boxes to fill out for this site. Why the hell didn't I stay away? | | Music | Tom Waits, The Smiths, Morissey, Van Morisson, Rolling Stones, Chris Isaac, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Fear, ELO, Tori Amos, Mark Knopfler, Pretenders, The Specials, Madness, Sting, Alison Krauss, Clash, Talking Heads. Screw it -- if it's got a decent beat, and isn't annoying as all hell (i.e. most rap and country), I probably like it and might listen to it. | | Television | I have two. Some days, I turn them on. Others, they sit there silently, sulking and taking up space where I would otherwise have books. I have no cable and the robins use the satellite dish for nesting every spring. Fortunately, I get a decent broadcast signal from ABC, and every few Sundays, I fill my head with images from Wisteria Lane. The great thing about television is that even if you miss every other episode of a show, you can still figure out what is going on. Hooray for aiming to entertain the lowest common denominator. Is this thing on? | | Books | Anything other than romance. Does anyone want to send me a copy of Schrodinger's Ball? |
