About One Voice Mixed Chorus

One Voice Mixed Chorus is the Twin Cities’ GLBT community chorus with a mission of "building community and creating social change by raising our voices in song." One Voice gave its debut concert in 1989, making it one of the first choruses in the country to bring together men and women from the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and allied communities. Under the direction of Jane Ramseyer Miller, One Voice is currently 80-voices strong and boasts of singing members from ages 16-65.

One Voice fosters a celebratory and supportive community for its singing members and audiences. Our concerts emphasize the positive role of GLBT people in society and increase the visibility of issues that are relevant to the LesBiGayTrans community.

Being in this chorus has helped me a lot with being more comfortable with myself and is a great environment for me to be in. I am the youngest member of the chorus but I am treated like an adult and never looked down on. Thanks for everything. Keep on rockin', Ashley Schumacher Sop.
