My good people,
ONEdependent and Taki76 are members of the Philly sound production duo known as ONE-76. ONE-76's debut album RADIO RECESSION is music dunked in the organic and sometimes electronic soulful funk-jazz-ism's that will please fans of the old school legends George Clinton, Prince, Sly Stone, Curtis Mayfield and even catch the ear of experimental hip hop heads who love Madlib, MF Doom, DJ Shadow, Edan and Count Bass D.
Taki76 and ONEdependent started writing music in December of 2006, sketching out 50 songs during their first year writing together. While on their musical travelings they recorded with the soulful voices of Lady Miss Kier (Deee-Lite), Nikki-Jean (Nouveau Riche, Lupe Fiasco) and have scored the short film "Odd City". The creative duo decided to release Fourteen selections from their collections on their debut album, RADIO RECESSION.
ONEdependent came from Buffalo to Snitchadelphia in 1998 to find Taki76. Taki76 came from Montreal to Skilladelphia in 2000 to meet ONEdependent. They composed all ideas and music in Chinatown under the tutelage of the wise and ever condescending Moonboots Incorporated and Masked Idiot 7000. Their alter-egos have contributed nothing to the project but its delay...
