About me: I'm a 3rd-year Ph.D. physics student enrolled at UC Davis. Graduate school can be torturous, and I wouldn't last long unless I'm passionate about my subject (which is the case, so far). I do often ponder why I subjugate myself to overworking myself with classwork, and coma-inducing grading. Research has already begun, with the usual set of hurdles such as shitty data and collaborators suffering from a case of the 'busies'. Part of my Weltanschauung (worldview) can be summed by these Feynman quotes:
