About me:
Olive Branch is a group of Jesus-followers who came together to address an obvious problem with homelessness in Scranton PA. They have now become a relational group aiming to coexist as a Jesus-community while addressing the needs around them. As a community without a geographically specific location, Olive Branch still believes Jesus' command to "love your neighbor" is applicable, and has thus decided to 'claim' Olive St., Scranton as their chosen neighborhood. Olive Branch Community believes that following Jesus is subversive and engaging, and that the poor, broken, homeless, addicted, and handicapped of society should be first and foremost addressed. As a young, growing community, Olive Branch is continually wrestling through ideas and learning along the way. God moves beyond human understanding, and will redeem His creation - whether it be broken lives or broken streets.
