Michael Olatuja has developed into one of Nigeria/Britain’s most sought after and respected electric/acoustic bassists and all-around musicians. He graduated seven years ago with a First Class Degree in Music and Jazz Studies from Middlesex university (London) and has now completed his Masters of Music Degree in Jazz Bass at the world famous Manhattan School of Music in New York.
He began playing the bass at the age of 11 and five years later, became a professional musician. Now at 28 years old, Michael has performed, toured, recorded and made TV appearances (worldwide) with the Following artists:

Michael has released his debut album called simply “Olatuja.” He has co-written every track on a brilliant record which covers jazz, soul, R&B, and World Music. Guests include many of the artists who’s work has influenced him over the years, including the (late) Lynden David Hall, Terri Walker, Jason Robello, Soweto Kinch, Ty, Reggie Watts, Eska Mtungwazi, Joy Rose, and Jean Toussaint.
