I've gotten around finally to picking up a signed copy of the new Alexie book. It even had illustrations by one of my favorite local cartoonists. Looks like a fast read and I will probably start it this weekend.
But how are you? I've heard on NPR that you folks are experiencing terrible weather. I hope Old Man Winter is not treating you too harshly.
Back in my schooldays, a teacher told me that the most dangerous animal to hunt was the polar bear, because the polar bear will hunt you. I'v also heard the same about tigers.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I read Reservation Blues by Alexie a few months ago and loved it. Cheers!
I'm happy to open your page and discover your world in this sea of informations.
Thanks your musical friendship and support. I wish you many good things for you and your dreams.
Success to you,
I really appreciate the birthday greeting. I have a sideline as a book scout prowling the thrift stores looking for books to resell and I can't even FIND the Miss Read books anymore. It's been almost twenty years since I've come across any at all. They must be more popular in England. Take care.
You the only person I know of besides me who likes the Miss Read books, or at least the only one who will admit it. I finished Reservation Blues by Sherman Alexie last month and really enjoyed it. He makes a lot of appearances here in Seattle. I met Rita Mae Brown almost twenty years ago at a reading (she thought I was funny). Of course, I love opera, particularly the sopranos, Bartoli, Battle, Fleming, Te Kanawa.
I work at night and depend on Diet Dr. Pepper to keep me going. I used to have a dog named Harry who looked very similar to Quiche. It is very nice to meet you. Thank you very much for including me among your friends. Best wishes to you and your family. Take care.
