Dead Set is more than just five guys getting together and writing and playing music. It's an idea, a force, a way of life, a concept and an uncomprisable fact that makes up this five piece band. With Charles "Junior" Stidham on lead vocals, Matthew Sizemore on drums/vocals, Randy Ballard on bass/vocals, Zak Kozicki on lead guitar, and Stephen Kozicki on rhythm guitar...they forge a sound unlike any other band and do it almost effortlessly. Writing music with tightly syncopated drum beats laced with undeniable and earth shaking bass riffs accompanied with soaring and thrashing guitar riffs matched with soaring lead vocals, they strive themselves on never selling themselves short of what they consider to be the best. "Dead Set" is a concept best described as an unwillingness to conform to mainstream standards and a cookie-cutter image. We are who we are and if you don't like it, then move on. Our inability to bend to what the masses think we should be is apparent the very nano-second that you hear our music or see us live. You either like us or you don't, and those who stick around understand our mentality and soldier on with us as we continue to further establish ourselves in the local scene in the hopes of reaching out to a broader audience with a message of determination, perseverance, hope, aggression, angst, and an undeniable spirit for reaching the top.
