The Off Broadway Theatre (OBT) is Salt Lake's downtown hot spot for comedy.
The OBT is known for our parodies. Recently, our parodies of Sherlock Holmes and Peter Pan have played to sell-out crowds. If you love to laugh, this is indeed the place.
OBT is also the home of Utah's longest-running and most popular improv comedy show, the Laughing Stock Improv Troupe. If you've seen "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", you know the basics. The difference is, here there are no TV cameras and tape editing. You see the genius and the foolishness. Often times, the foolishness is more funny. And, it's what sets Laughing Stock apart from the rest.
The Troupe has played to over 200 straight sold out shows. We are located in downtown Salt Lake City at 272 S. Main St., and you can contact us by phone at 801-355-4628 (that's 355-4OBT for those who want an easy way to remember our number).
