As the earth’s human population increases, more and more natural resources are consumed and wasted without people truly understanding the importance of a bio-diverse ecosystem. We find many species and ourselves threatened by modern disease, pollution, diminishing natural resources and wild lands. Eventually we create a desert where there once was Eden.
Thus springs forth the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary to protect and provide the life force towards the restoration of ecolibrium. Today we find that people are becoming more and more conscious of the proper "part to play" in the environment, as we become drawn together to organize at a grassroots level. Only through this can we find real solutions to the famine, disease, and economic distress that plagues the world of today. The purpose of this new corporation is to scientifically conduct research to educate the public on a wide variety of concepts involving environmental stewardship and eco sound development, so that the health and prosperity of all species may be sustained for a common future. Some of the proposed projects of the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary are:
· To organize lectures and seminars by experts and professionals on a wide range of subjects, including nutrition, organic gardening, eco-ethics, conservation, preservation, and restoration
. · To promote nature appreciation through trail maintenance, hikes and educational expeditions, as well as ecological restoration programs.
· Help communities to develop sustained organiculture, composting and recycling/reuse programs.
· Organize spring and fall festivals to promote a spirit of environmentalism with natural product demonstrations and health opportunities.
· Create an informative news magazine to enlighten the public on how we can do our part to better sustain the ecosystem.
· Work with and promote other social clubs, cooperatives and associations with similar environmental purposes.
· Create a computer data base on the phytological, ecological and biodiversity of earth as a Super organism.
· Conduct research projects involving ecologically modern technology and urban sustainability, as well as phyto-chemical processing.
The goal of our first year campaign will be to raise $10k as "seed money" for the setting up and running of operations at the corporate office. The initial funds will be used to purchase much needed office equipment, supplies, mailing permit fees, and fund raising incentives
.
All directors and staff of the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary work on a voluntary basis and receive no monetary compensation.
Another way to make a difference is to volunteer your expertise and service to the Oasis Botanical Sanctuary. We will be needing a wide range of talented writers, researchers, fund-raisers and events coordinators.

Members and myself of the Oasis are organizing a hiking expedition to the tallest peak in Southern California, San Gorgonio (11,500 ft. elevation). Oasis would like to invite anyone interested and capable to join in. In past years we usually go up on the first week of June, however it all depends on availability of the wilderness permit. We spend 2 days 1 night camping at High Creek (9,000ft. elv.). 10 to 12 people are allowed on one permit but we usually split up a bit to keep the adventure a “wilderness” experience. The Vivian Creek trail is approx 17 miles round trip and the terrain is sometimes difficult. From Mill Creek in Forest Falls the trail ascends one mile to the summit. Only 600 people per week are allowed to visit the San Gorgonio wilderness, otherwise it wouldn’t be wilderness. Thanks to the “Defenders of Wilderness” and the San Gorgonio Volunteer Association.(SGVA)
Email the Oasis if you are interested, first come first served.

Dear Oasis Botanical Sanctuary: Thank you for YourFriendship. My eight-year-old-peace-activist son Axil Kollist's quest for World Peace Before 2021 is gaining momentum! I'm so proud of him. Please embrace him AND his song "World Peace Before 2021" which he performs beautifully. His performance can be seen on MySpace, his webpage www. worldpeacebefore2021. com and/or YouTube (by searching his name Axil Kollist.) It is my intention to post a new video of him singing his song every few months so people can watch his talent grow as impressively as the momentum for his quest! I'm sharing two photos with you. The first is of my son distributing his free world peace bumperstickers and the second photo is of him singing his song “World Peace Before 2021” at Maui's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Day Festivities in January 08. By all means, email Axil if you’d like him to mail you one of his free “World Peace Before 2021” bumpersticker or if you’d like to invite him to sing for your function. His email address is worldpeacebefore2021@hawaii.rr.com .Very best regards, Axil's mom
