About me:
My partner and I moved to the Des Moines metro late in 2007 from the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area (where we were both raised) with our three cats.
We lived in a one bedroom apartment in West Des Moines until May of 2008 when we found our dream house in the Oak Park area of Des Moines.
As Of June 1st 2008 (when I am writing this) we are settling into our new house that we took possession of about two weeks ago. We both love our new house, love our jobs in Des Moines
During the day I'm a mild mannered computer programmer. At night, I fight for justice, truth and the American way, well, at least until I get bored with that video game and switch to another (: I recently got a Wii and I love to play with it (; I also like computer games (mostly simulation and RTS games). I also have a PS2 which I use to get my fill of violent game (which I don't do very often) and a DS for my on-the-go gaming needs. I also recently bought a Sega Saturn to fill my retro gaming needs. I am looking to buy other retro game consoles. In case you can't tell, I love video games!
I'm pretty laid back, try to be funny, and, all in all, am pretty easy to get along with. We both are pretty much homebodies and would love to just spend a Friday night at home drinking and watching TV. We don't get out much in Des Moines, but do once in a while. Any advice on the great unknown Des Moines places would be much appreciated.

I found out about Twitter. It's kind of like MySpace but you can post to it from your IM or your cell phone. Unfortunately, I can't post from my cell phone, so no drunk texting from the bar to my blog ): I recommend you try it out. If you do, add me as a friend! I'm nst101 on twitter as well.
