Influences
its all over the place. different for each one of us, but basically comin bac to if we actually listen to something, that something will influence that particular player in a way. add that up between all we listen to, and you have a GREAT background in music behind each of us, and we just put our heads together to form our material...
Ok, forget the bullsh*t above... DREAMTHEATER!!!!
Five idiots, one band. Night Pyre. The current line up started all over the place. Jeff Lipton and Phil Sloan had started a band with Charlie Pierce and Alex Hardwick a while back, Jeremy Mcbride and Kurt Pittman had messed around, and Ben had been writting music for quite some time. Then Jeremy and Jeff got the idea to start a band. Jeff’s old band, Ear Shattering Silence, wasn’t going anywhere, and he felt good with this group of people. When Ben got on board, things really began to move. Josh Elkins was the groups first vocalist, and within a few weeks, Night Pyre was born, and the first song, Arrmegedon, was written and recorded. However, after only one show, they guys realized that Josh wasn’t the vocalist they wanted. So he left the band, and their was a long period of time without a singer. Then Jeff bought a Dream Theater DVD, and his whole perception on music changed. When the rest of the guys listened to it, they knew this was the type of music they wanted to play. But none of them knew a vocalist that could pull that off, except for Jeff. When he brought Phil on board, the band began to pick up speed again. Now with about four songs done, and many more on the way, Night Pyre is alive a well!
Very cool sounds guys! Keep rocking hard, music has a loud voice and no boundaries :)!!
Thank you very much for becoming our friend. Good to have you with us. We always need help and support for the cause to which we have dedicated ourselves. It is an unfortunate but very real fact that predators exist and they pray on the innocent children of the world. They need you. As ever, it is the musicians who come to the aide of the helpless and become a voice for them. So come and have a listen to the great artists and bands who have become our friends. Stay in touch with us, spread the word, let your friends know and their friends in turn about our campaign.
Okay I don't think that there's one word to describe what I was thinking when I heard your guys' songs. So me the very unoriginal sticker that I am came up with two. FUCKING AMAZING!
Seriously I love it. The guitars rock and Phil's voice is wicked.
xDDD it still amazes me that you guys have that much talent. silly musicians and your mad skillz of doom. and c.c. is what i'm here for. xD just ask Ben :] uh...yeah...stuff. i can't wait until you guys have a CD for my listening pleasure. hahaha. LATER!
MMm, nice new song. Adore the instrumentals. and it's totally different from Riders of the Sky...but in a good way. and Phil is one hell of a singer. gonna be critical here, but there are a few parts where he kinda loses it and the vocals just don't work...but eh. i'll forgive you. this time. lol. I feel like i should end this professionally, so... overall, it's a nice new song. And it makes me wanna dance, just like Riders. :D
