Sounds Like
Guitars, Bass, Drums, and Singing. Acid-Indie Jam, Rock Fusion, and Heavy Jazz.
The Newbru was born in December 2005 out of an impressive line up of various musical projects including the Ground Level Organization, Yardsdale, and Red Sky Morning. While naturally blending the sounds of their previous projects they have since furthered their musical direction, interaction, and depth.
The Newbru writes singer-songwriter material interjected with the kind of healthy jamming that one might not necessarily get with a singer-songwriter, while always maintaining the highest quality of musical interaction with every live show.
Dueling guitar freak-outs give way to space-age head trips and drum n' bass driven tech-grooves. Full-blast hooks floating over folk-air fingerstyle blend seamlessly with megaface prog-riffs and down-home future-funk. Sweetsharp lyrics are sung with a pinch of irony and a splash of harmony. The Newbru is best served loud, with a cold beer and a hot dance floor.
