Под именом Алкатраз радили смо од 1991. године, и издали смо два албума: „Иза решетака“ за издавачку кућу „Take or Leave it Records” 1993. године; и „Алкатраз“ за издавачку кућу „Metropolis Records“ 1998. године.

Како је музика коју смо свирали почела да поприма нешто другачији израз од музике коју смо до тада правили, решили смо да бенду дамо нови идентитет, тако да Алкатраз постаје НеоН (грч. Neos; Neo - ново; нов). Нови албум, прилично дуго припреман, сниман је у периоду јул 2004 – новембар 2005. године, у студију „Bare Wired“ у Земуну. Крајем 2006. године самостално издајемо албум који носи назив „Мимо света“. На албуму се налази седам песама.

Музика коју свирамо је и даље јасне и гласне садржине. Још увек своју музику стварамо кроз бунт и отпор лицемерју и површним „вредностима“ света. Још увек кроз своју музику провлачимо призвук мелодија предака, као био-духовну везу са њима и као знак своје аутентичности.

Напомена: НеоН и даље постоји, али је тренутно концертно неактиван, услед немогућности да пронађе адекватну гитарску замену.

NeoN originated from the band Alkatraz. By the name of Alkatraz we have worked since 1991. year, and we published two albums: "Behind Bars" published for the label "Take it or Leave Records" in 1993. and "Alkatraz" published for the label "Metropolis Records" in 1998.

How is the music that we played began to acquire a slightly different expression of music that we previously made, we decided to give the band a new identity, so Alkatraz becomes NeoN (greek: Neos; Neo - Newly; New). The new album,quite a long prepared, was shot in the period july 2004 - november 2005. in the studio "Bare Wired" in Zemun (Belgrade). In late 2006. we decide to independently released our album titled "Not of This World". This album includes seven songs.

The music that we play have still loud and clear content. We still create our own music through rebellion and resistance of hypocrisy and superficial "values" of the world. We still runs through our music the sounds of our forefathers as a bio-spiritual connection with them and as a sign of our authenticity.

Note: Neon is still exists, but the concert playing is currently inactive due to the inability to find adequate guitar replacement.
