He is a worldclass vocalist and a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano and harmonica, as well as being a top notch composer, arranger and producer with five solo albums to his credit

He has shared the stage and opened for blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Pine TopPerkins, James Cotton and Matt Guitar Murphy

Nelsen did a four year stint playing harmonica for Big Al And The Heavyweights out of New Orleans and recently toured with the Swamp Blues guitar-slinger Josh Garrett. Nelsen’s original songs have appeared on Boston Legal, Criminal Minds,My Name Is Earl, Bones and Harry’s Law

He recently relocated to Dunedin FL to spend more time on his songwriting. His new band is in rehearsals in preparation for his upcoming album due out in the fall of 2013
