Hello! I had an amazing time at Pride. I did make a 2 part video segment of Nebraska Gay Pride 2008. It had turned out better than I had expected. If you get the chance, check it out. It's on my main page. Thanks! Can't wait till Pride 2009. :D
This post is in response to JoeJoe's comment posted on June 21, 2008 at 9:21 p.m., regarding Nebraska Pride 2008.
We are sorry you feel pride failed to live up to your expectations. It was not Rainbow Celebrations nor Nebraska Pride's decision to close at 11:00 p.m., that requirement fell upon the City of Omaha City and the City Ordinances. Since the Lewis & Clark Landing is a city park, "ALL CITY PARKS CLOSE AT 11:00 p.m."
The festival closing at 11:00 p.m. did not have an impact on any one person enjoying the local night clubs, in fact most of the clubs were packed.
Regardless of where pride has been held in the past, it has been a city ordinance that all public display events close at 11:00 p.m.
Again, we are sorry Pride failed to live up to your expectations.
