Mysteriis is a medieval black metal band formed in January of 1995 by Ivan: Vocals and Gusthav: Guitars after Apocriphal split up in December 24th of 1994, they continue with 2 of the songs written for the previous band, “The Wine of Immortality” and “Tale From Forest”, with Zythoroth on drums; with this drummer, the songs are prepared in the new band style, dark and Medieval evoking the spirit of the ancient forest full of fantasy and Mythological beings.
The band creates a new song called “Nocturnal Princess”, but after a few months Zythoroth left the band and he is replaced by Luispheratum in half 1995. Mysteriis made 3 more songs with this new drummer and soon they began to think in recording a demotape, but Luispherathum left the band to live in USA.After some time searching for a new drummer, Ishthath from Lemures joins the band also Maleficiere Te Deum from Maleficarum to play the bass guitar; with them, Mysteriis got the right sound with fast and aggressive songs, adding female voice and keyboards.
Iin October of 1996 they recorded their demo debut “Fullmoon Shadows”, 8 songs in english and a great cover full color...after the debut Ivan left the band and Renzo from Lemures takes its place.
“Fullmoon Shadows” was totally produced by Sabbath Productions in September of 1997 and the song “The Wine of Immortality” taken from this recording was part of The Black Moon Compilation Tape entitled “To Meet the Storm” in 1998.
After the release of "Fullmoon Shadows" the band stops rehearsing for a long time, but ten years after with new members gathered to rebirth the demo songs and new material composed through this years of silence.
Between April and December of 2008, Mysteriis prepared their return in a Festival called Metal Medallo in Medellin - Colombia, this show was at Teatro Ateneo Porfirio Barba Jacob in February 2nd of 2008.
