MetsGal 's Interests
General
#1 David Wright: I finally got my picture taken with him- my life is complete!
#2 Henry Cavill: Plays Charles Brandon on "The Tudors" He's gorgeous!
#3 Chuck Wicks: Met him in the Port St. Lucie Target with Annemarie! Wooooooo!
Obviously, I'm a diehard Mets fan and love the game of baseball. My favorite way to spend the day is at Shea Stadium with my mom or my friends, watching a Mets win! But I do have other interests. I love going to Broadway shows! Wicked was the best play ever!
I enjoy traveling, writing, reading, drawing, photography, scrapbooking, the outdoors and playing games (especially scrabble and The Sims 2.) I love family vacations to Hilton Head and baseball road trips with my BFF's! I 'm a movie fanatic and have seen pretty much everything. And I love watching Dane Cook stand up comedy (he's a silly bitch!)
I have absolutely no fear- I can't get enough of adventure sports like jetskiing, bungee jumping, hang gliding, para-sailing, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and cliff diving (and I really want to go sky diving, but can't find anyone crazy enough to go with me!) I'm addicted to riding roller coasters, love going to theme parks (especially Disney World, I'm a big fan of all things Disney!) Oh, and I think Hoops, Yoyo and Piddles are hilarious!
I love animals, especially Wombats, Kangaroos, Koalas, Polar Bears, Dolphins, Cats and Dogs. Someday I want to get a Comfort Retriever or Miniature Goldendoodle. They're so cute!
Also, I like to keep up with current events and politics. I'm an ultra-left wing, anti-war, liberal hippie! LOL. I suport Barrack Obama, and have for a few years now. I love his ideas, and I'm ready for a change!
I'm a Bush hater...don't even get me started! LOL. God knows how I survived the Bush administration, but thankfully it's almost over!
Music
I like almost anything and have a very eclectic music collection. I like U2, Journey, Collective Soul, Live, White Snake, Toby Keith, Sting, The Beatles, Guns N Roses and lots more. My favorite genre of music is definitely 80's classic rock. And I Love my American Idols: Carrie Underwood, David Archuleta, David Cook and Chris Daughtry are my favorites.
Movies
My favorite movie ever is The Lord of The Rings trilogy. You don't even want to know how many times I've seen those movies!
I also love Titanic, The Shawshank Redemption, Harry Potter, Gladiator, Life is Beautiful, Office Space, Dumb and Dumber, Almost Famous, Fever Pitch, Enchanted, Christmas Vacation, For Love of the Game, Monty Python, Brokeback Mountain and all Heath Ledger movies (RIP) and most animated movies (like Shrek, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Over The Hedge, Madagascar, Toy Story and Ice Age.)
Television
Lost is absolutely my favorite show on TV- actually I think it is the best TV show that has ever been made- period. I can't get enough of it! Yes- I'm a Lostie. I read theories on the internet, go to Lost forums and watch every episode multiple times.
I also like 24, The Tudors (Henry Cavill!) American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, My name is Earl, The Simpsons, Baseball Tonight and Family Guy.
And I'll always love my Friends and Seinfeld reruns, no matter how many times I've seen them already!
Books
My favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter books. I've read the series so many times through and still think it's the best story ever thought up. J.K. Rowling is a genius!
I'm addicted to Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer too. (And I'm sure I'll be addicted to Breaking Dawn- release date Augusut 2nd!) I literally couldn't put them down they were so awesome. Read them, and fall in love with Edward Cullen, if you haven't already!
I also like Memoirs Of A Geisha, Marley and Me, The Hobbit, In a Sunburned Country, To Kill A Mockingbird, all Mets books, and anything by Dan Brown, Jodi Picoult or Chris Bohjalian.
Heroes
Jackie Robinson, to me, is the definition of hero. Someone who stood up in the face of adversity with tremendous courage, and changed the country in doing so.
My other heroes are my mom, dad, brother, nana and pop. I also admire Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. My baseball hero's are William Shea, Branch Rickey, Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling, Howie Rose, Ed Coleman (and his plaid shorts,) David Wright, Pedro Martinez, Mike Piazza, Robin Ventura, Gary Carter and Mookie Wilson.

About me:
Hello. My name is Tessa, I'm a . I come from a baseball family and have rooted for the
since I was a kid (many generations of proud Yankee haters!) and in the last 9 years I've become obsessed with them and know a lot about baseball. Its not just a hobby for me- its a passion! I'd go to every game if I could and never get tired of it, cuz! If I had to pick one sentance to describe me it would be "I'm a diehard fan,
, and I'll be a "
Movies, music, books and TV shows come and go but the only thing I know I'll still love when I'm 100 is
- win or lose, 'till the day I die!
Oh, and I'm soooo in love with my boys and Endy Chavez!
My favorite player of all time is Mike Piazza. As much as I love my other guys, no one will EVER come close to Piazza. Mikey will always be my #1 favorite Met, my #1 favorite baseball player and my #1 favorite athlete! We miss you #31!
“Last but certainly not least, I can’t say goodbye without thanking the fans. I can’t recall a time in my career where I didn’t feel embraced by all of you. Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland and Miami...you were all so supportive over the years. But I have to say that my time with the Mets wouldn’t have been the same without the GREATEST FANS IN THE WORLD. One of the hardest moments of my career, was walking off the field at Shea Stadium and saying goodbye. My relationship with you made my time in New York the happiest of my career and for that, I will always be grateful." ~Mike Piazza
I love Shea Stadium. It truly is my summer home; so many of my happy childhood memories took place at Shea. I've spent so much time there from my first game when I was 6 years old 'til today, and I am going to be devastated when it's torn to the ground. I will never forget all the great memories. Citifield will be beautiful and modern and new, but it will never be Shea. It's going to be so hard to call anywhere else "home."
Blue and Orange runs through my veins:
Great Memories from the 2007 Season:
Who I'd like to meet:
Other Mets fans or baseball fans, especially ones as crazy as I am! (Yankees, Phillies, Braves and Cardinals fans not welcome!)
Have you seen these girls on SNY? They look like one flew over the Cuckoo's nest!
The SNY fan Club is born:
I LOVE Gary, Keith and Ron! Has there ever been a better trio of broadcasters in the history of the game?
I was at the Cyclones game tonight and guess who threw out the first pitches.....
Joe Smith and.....
DAVID WRIGHT !!!
Your favorite player sat in the suite above me. I had seats behind the plate. He waved to the crowd as they chanted his name. You'd have you'd crazy. just thought I'd let you know.
METS IN FIRST and hopefully it'll stay that way...
