Our Philosophy:
To be a part of our community by serving good coffee and food with positive vibes. We welcome ALL types of peaceful people and attempt to spread that attitude throughout our beautiful neighborhood. We make nearly all of our scones, pastries and cookies by hand and if we can’t, we use local suppliers whenever possible. We use biodegradable cleaners without phosphates. We reuse, recycle & renew, use corn-based plastics as they become available and we compost whenever feasible. We support local musicians as well as passers-through and we hang a new set of local artists every other month. Most importantly – the beans:
We serve Coffee Bean International’s “Panache” brand coffees and espresso. They roast locally in NW Portland and we think it’s the best coffee around.

Saturday May 10th, 2008 3 pm until ? 4023 NE 7th and Shaver THEEEE event kicking off the Summer of Lovvvvvvvve in Portland and The Couv Random Order (and possibly simultaneous) Open Mic from 3 pm to 5 pm with Musicians, Poets, Comics, Spoken Word, Circus Acts, Special Surprises Bands start at 5 pm on into the night! Bring a little money for Pulled Pork sandwiches, Dogs, Shaved Ice YUM! and MORE!! plus show some love by purchasing the split vinyl of The Hand That Bleeds + Monster Sized Monsters. (10 bones methinks?) Artists and bands meeting other artists and bands forming collaborations booking shows and things.
Thanks for the Add! We had a blast last Thursday the 24th at open mic! Very warm and friendly atmosphere. I may get up the courage to sign up next time.
