Like tiny stalagmites and stalactites, the MotionPilots have been growing in the caves of the music scene for the last few years. The recent addition of DJ Rickerd on drums in early 2007 completed the puzzle. DJ, Dash, Reilly, and Eric are the cohesive energy that will melt snow in the winter and kill grass in the summer.
With victory in four out of four battle of the bands and a recording deal with a440 studios, they went into the studio to record the tracks of what would become their debut CD. As Producer Chris W. Langer put it, "It is the most raw, heart felt rock/groove album I have done in a long time”. Langer is best known for his work with Soul Asylum and Wide Spread Panic.
In March of 2008, the MotionPilots released their debut album and sold over 300 copies in their opening night. Within one month of its release it has charted nationally on college radio. The "guntar" T-Shirt, provided by an endorsement by Miller beer, has become a staple of the PromotionPilots (MotionPilots fan club)

Elias' son Manuel was stabbed in the brain with a knife over a bag of sugar a few months back and I imagine most of the money raised will go towards his rehabilitation.
JRP will also be matching all money raised. It doesn't seem like all that much cash, but realize that it takes roughly $200,000 ZIM dollars to equal ONE US DOLLAR.
if we can get 100 people to come over, we'll have raised $200,000 ZIM DOLLARS!
