Tonya's been referred to as "the woman with the velvet sound and
Alicia Keys' style." Her melodic, soulful voice resonates with inflections of R&B, Jazz and Pop that causes her to deliver a song with passion and fire. Tonya, 24 yrs. old, grew up in Rhode Island exhibiting her taste for music at an early age. High school musical productions and church services laid the foundation attributing to the different genres of music she's experienced from standards and show tunes to Gospel and R&B. Her influences range from noted artists such as Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Fiona Apple. Tonya is currently in the studio recording with MoRo Entertainment producer Moises Rogers. He along with songwriter-producer Rod Butler ( Planet Patrol; Tommy-Boy Records ) and Benny Peguero ( aka; Lastchild Musik ) have collaborated to provide a musical platform showcasing her vibrant, soulwrenching vocals to create an undeniable sound.
