Monotax is a group formed in 2005 by Zooey (a.k.a. Pablo Heredia) (bass, synths, guitars), Elephant Pixel (a.k.a. Dilo) (guitars, synths, programming, vocals), & imi (programming, synths). After many years collaborating toguether (imi and zooey play in the elephant pixel live band), they decide to form their own project, fusing electronica (idm, clicks and cuts, minimal), hip hop & rock (folk, post rock, indie).
That..s how the Monotax band was born, joined by a collective of artists in search of an audio visual trip, with guests like Languis, Nicolas Stofenmacher, Monoto, MC Phias (of duo Spektre), Fase, Minirocke and VJ..S e.s.n.t.m.
The Monotax debut album will be released soon by Igloo-Pop (sub label of igloo-rec) digital and the singles with remixes will be on vinyl by Lo Mid High Unlmtd.
