.. mOANS es un grupo de rock alternativo de Madrid que se intenta hacer con un hueco propio en el panorama de bandas madrileñas. Se define por la importancia de las cuerdas, la contundencia de sus ritmos y la violencia y dureza de letras que hablan poco de amor y mucho de todo lo demas que siente o vive un ser humano.
La banda nacio bajo el nombre de "Monkey Brain Jam" en 2002 y fue creada por el guitarrista (Jaime) y el cantante(Victor) actuales junto con otros miembors que abandonaron la formacion parra dedicarse ha hacer avioncitos. En sustitucion de estos entraron un nuevo bateria (Colombo de "Vincent") y un bajista ( Gonzalo), y la formacion comenzo a hacer temas propios. A finales de 2004 Colombo dejo la banda y entro en la misma Juanma, que ayudo a centrar mas el estilo de la banda. Con esta nueva formacion el grupo cambio su nombre a "Leitmotif", autoprodujo su primera maqueta "Back to the Egg" y participo en la segunda edición del Concurso Ritmo y Compas quedando como segundos clasificados y ganando el premio de grabar en elstudio de Ritmo y Compas, donde se grabó en el verano de 2006 su SP "Gibberellin". Al final del verano Gonzalo tuvo que abandonar el grupo por estudios y fue sustituido por Daniel, Ati para los amigos. Con la entrada de este miembro y con la idea de tocar nuevos estilos mas electronicos la banda cambio su nombre a "Moans", y esta vez el nombre es definitivo. MOANS AL PODER!!
In 2002, the band was created by the current singer and guitar player, under the name of ‘Monkey Brain Jam’. We started to work with the purpose of creating music with influences from groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yet, some members left the band and new ones came to substitute them. Colombo as drummer and Gonzalo as bass player completed the band again helping us to move on to a new musical style.
At the ending of 2004, Colombo leaves the group for different motives and after several sporadic collaborations as well as numerous proofs, Juanma occupies the vacancy. With this new formation, we changed our name to Leitmotif. After having played in some rooms of concerts in Madrid, we decided to take part in one of the most important band contests in Spain, ‘Concurso de Ritmo y Compas’. Finally, we achieved the second place and won the prize of recording in a professional studio. That’s when we started to work hard to assemble the quality of our songs in order to approach a recording at the professional level that goes beyond the quality obtained with our previous works, serving this one as letter of introduction to record national and international. Then is born our ‘Gibberellin’ after two years of work, in the ‘Ritmo y Compas’ Studios, being edited by the own band and the collaboration of Tito Saavedra (who recorded bands like Mecano, Fangoria, The Corrs, Blur and Ocean Color Scene) in July, 2006.
At the end of summer , Gonzalo leaves the band in order to continues his studies in Biology in Norway.Daniel(Ati) arrives in the band and we decide to change our name again, and this is the last time.WE ARE MOANS!!
El 24 de julio Ameba la vuelve a liar en Madrid, esta vez en el Garaje Sónico... clásicos de Bowie, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Mosquito Pick, Elvis, Gene Vincent, Parade, The Boomtown Rats (sí, sí, el I don’t like mondays), Nick Drake... serán introducidos en la termomix ameboide para crear nuevas criaturas sonoras... y por supuesto, sin olvidar las cancioncillas de Ameba que volverán a pulular a sus anchas...

Malyssia de regreso a los escenarios (que ya era horita, ¿no?). Nos vemos el sábado 14 de junio (osssssshhhhhheeeeeaaaaa essshteeee) en nuestro ya habitual La Leyenda, San Bernardino 6, .. Plz.España, a las 22:00, as ever. Actuará una banda invitada y la entrada será gratuita.
Próximo concierto moscovita: Acompañaremos a Lek Mun en el estreno de su disco debut “Infra Leve”. Presentaremos canciones y la nueva formación con batería.
