I heard about your recent setback withholding production completion of MK NG. I'm so sorry to hear it. It looked pretty professional. Well I hope you don't give it up considering you went far enough with it. No matter how long it takes to find your asian actors...you should finish. I hope your cast and crew's patience lasts so they wait with you in the time being. By the way...def go for that weekly webisode idea for MK vs DC. Saw the clip of the fight between Joker and Scorpion. It looks awesome. I for one have awaited at least a live action bit of that type of game series.
I feel you dude cybortron is on hold too because i can't get a cast together but american idol is coming to my town and i'm going out for that and if i don't make it cybortron is reactivated at full blast i'm going to start shooting scenes by my self till i get a cast
You could always make a spin off of the Mythologies game. You know, maybe chronicle the adventures of one character. Or, instead of making just ONE movie on one character, maybe you could make multiple little shorts so you could do more characters. Imagen the possibilities. Mortal Kombat Mythologies:Scorpion, MKM:Reptile, MKM:Noob Saibot. It would be hard to do seeing as how ya'll are subject to filming in the city, but if you could find multiple places to film, I believe this could really turn out pretty freaking cool.
I know what you mean about the over the top criticism... People these days have expectations that are insane... I actually heard someone today say that the Dark Knight was ovverated... I mean come on people... seriously its entertainment... so I can only imagine what you go thru with a little to no budget. Where do you film this??? I've got a few asian friends who are pretty good at martial arts but they probably couldn't travel to work for ya especially if they cant get paid :( that would be tough on both ends. I like your idea of making shorts, like 10-15 min a week or two weeks. What you could do is have it be the classic MK tournament based style and have it start in earthrealm... like at an american fighting place... so you can use Johnny Cage, Sonya, jax (non asian characters ya know?) and then if you find one u can incorporate him, like as liu kang or shang tsung and let the story take off from there... i dunno man heh... its your production im just kinda thinking out loud haha.
I saw some rough footage and all is looking awesome...that includes the astonishing fight scenes. Its amazing that its all for a fan film. Well...is there any chance you could send your Havik actor to me for the necessary preparations?
