We met at a funky little bar called Mitchell's Cafe in Lambertville NJ, where Keith has been hosting a monthly jam session since round about 2003. Shortly after Huricane Katrina we were asked to play some hurricane benefit functions in our area, so we quickly came up with the name Mitchell's Cajun Aces and formed a band and we've been together ever since. We love to get new material from old recordings of both Cajun and Creole styles and we always have a good time no matter where we play. Most of us can usually be found at Mitchell's on the second Wednesday of every month, so if you're ever in the area come on by and jam with us.
How I made my profile: I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace editor.
Oh boy. Too early in the morning. Haven't had my coffee yet! My apologies . Keith and Alice! I knew the name but the band's name stuck when I typed the previous comment. Keep in touch, please!
Hello from Louisiana Mitchell and Alice. I am certainly glad you mentioned to D.L. that you were one of my MySpace friends because otherwise, I'm not sure we would have met personally. It was my pleasure and I certainly plan to keep up with what you and your group are doing. Best of Luck!
Looking forward to your gig at the mermaid on the first saturday night of the new year - should be a bon temp - you need a calander on your webpage - to post these things for your fan club !!!
Thanks so much for the add. Johnny went to the Dewey Balfa Camp last April and came home with a beautiful Cajun accordion. Since then we've been incorporating Cajun sounds into our set - traditional songs and flavors for our originals. We want to learn from folks like you. We're all going as a band to the Balfa Camp next year and would love to meet up with our myspace friends. Stop by our site and take a listen if you have time.
Missed you guys too. The sight of you guys crawling out of the Element in the morning is a good memory though. We are well. Going to LA. in Dec. I enjoy your clips. MB
