He served nearly 9 years in federal prison for drug trafficking from January 11, 1994 til October 18, 2002, upon his release from prison; he later founded Unmerciful Records in February of 2004, in which he is the sole owner, president and CEO. Mister Malatov indicates that his Certified Hustla album is only a sample (demo) of what is to come, and that he is currently working on a new mix tape titled Str8 off tha Muthaphu***in Streetz of Chattown, as well as a new album which is set to be released by the end of the year.
