Original members include wordsmith Rob Ulrich, Central Illinois Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion Josh Blue behind the kit, guitarist Brad Prentice, and bassist Josh Bodeen. Early in 2006 the group expanded to include DJ Bang Nine, Central Illinois Top DJ contest and Central Illinois Guitar Center Spin-Off winner, rounding off what was already one of the most formidable forces in hard rock music to date. Combining a unique blend of influences including Alice in Chains, Tool, Deftones, Jay Z, A Perfect Circle, Dr. Dre, Megadeth, and Tupac (to name a few) Mindset Evolution is anything but your run of the mill rock band. Stylistically diverse, infectiously catchy and undeniably talented, Mindset Evolution has sold out major venues throughout the Midwest and has garnered three top rated songs from their debut album on Central Illinois 1 radio station WIXO 105.7 FM, helping them to earn the right to share a marquis with such acts as Finger Eleven, Silvertide, Smile Empty Soul, Seven Mary Three, and Nonpoint.
