In 2002, Mike Doughty released a limited-edition live album, Smofe + Smang: Live In Minneapolis. It sold out very quickly, and has been a highly sought-after collector's piece ever since. Now, by popular demand, Mike is re-releasing an abridged version of the album, called Half Smofe. It's on sale now, only from Mike's online store.

These days, I'm hanging out waiting for the release of my new album Golden Delicious, produced by Dan Wilson in the mythic realm of Minneapolis. Many shows will follow.
And yeah, I used to be The Guy From Soul Coughing. I quit the band in 2000, against the advice of every sensible person I knew, and took off in a rental car (9000 miles by myself on my first tour) to be a roving acoustic-izer.

I wanted to congratulate you on your 8 years; that's quite an accomplishment, and something to be proud of.
