Founded in 1999 by Lisa Wegner, Mighty Brave Productions has grown from a local theatre company into a full service film production company.
We believe that the best work emerges from a playful, co-creative and safe atmosphere. Everyone on our team is treated with respect and every effort is made to maintain the contentment of our creative team, cast and crew. By following this principle, we have created an environment that allows team members the freedom and responsibility to contribute their talent to create the best final product.
Mighty Brave Productions successfully delivers projects on time and on budget, and has established a track record that affords the company several competitive advantages.
One of our greatest strengths are our people. We have built and nurtured strong industry relationships on all levels of production, from the creative team to industry suppliers to skilled crew members. Our crew works with us on an ongoing basis and sends a constant stream of high quality referrals our way. We have good relations with top agencies and access to key talent. Our production team is positive, proactive and solution focused.
We produce intelligent, original scripts. At the moment we do not accept unsolicited screenplays.

Natasha Stoynoff, People Magazine
Senior Staff Entertainment Correspondent
"I have been a senior staff entertainment correspondent in the New York Bureau of People Magazine for eight years. In that time, I have seen Ms. Wegner - one of the gutsiest, talented, smartest and most charming young women I've ever met - passionately expore her goal of bringing thought-provoking film to audiences time and again.
I first met Ms. Wegner when she was performing in Manhattan and I was bowled over by her enthusiasm and personal style.
I have since seen her helm several productions in Toronto, and noted that any project she pursues, she does it with a zest for life and art that is rare.
Ms. Wegner is an artist of tremendous merit with a great future ahead of her."
John Bertram
Writer and Director, "Degrassi Junior High"
"This letter is to convey my strong support for outstanding experience with, and professional admiration of Ms. Wegner, and her team. Together, their dedication, professionalism, and team spirit kept an already fast-moving train securely on the tracks. In fact it was only after the Bonded Pairs shoot was completed that I even learned of some of the potentially disastrous fires they had put out, each time with extreme grace and efficiency. Lisa's unfailing sense of humour, people skills, empathetic leadership, and that big picture ability to keep everything in perspective. Mighty Brave assembled the best crew possible for such a low budget project, and coordinated an extremely complicated shoot with its aburdly large cast, diverse crew, and multiple, ever changing locations. Being an ACTRA production meant many extra layers of paperwork, logistics, and negotiations -- and they were up for the task."
Eric Rose Independent Director
"Working with Lisa as a producer, is like working with a human chemist. She possess the essential intuitive ability of bringing the right group of people together to create an incredible artistic alchemy for each project. She is tireless in her efforts to make everyone she works with feel informed, included, and fulfilled.
I had the great pleasure of working with Lisa and would gladly jump at the opportunity to work with her again in whatever capacity she would see fit. Lisa would be a great asset to any project who needs a positive individual who is not afraid to be innovative and take risks.
Lisa is a starlight human dynamo who if given the opportunity will one day rule whatever world she chooses."

DEAR FILMMAKERS completing a BRILLIANT SHORT FILM! The Utah Arts Festival is one of the largest, most culturally rich artistic showcases in the western United States. The works celebrated at the festival stretch well beyond the borders of Utah, exposing over 80,000 festival-goers to a diverse collection of contemporary yet traditional, challenging yet accessible, thought provoking yet fun range of works over four frenetic days every June. The Fear No Film Festival aims to celebrate a similar range of artistic excellence. Last June, Fear No Film presented 63 diverse short films grouped according to the emotion it was likely to elicit from the audience. Screenings included "Movies that will make me feel HAPPY," "Movies that will make me feel UNSETTLED," and "Movies that will make me feel SUBCULTURED."
Keep in mind this is Utah. We here in Utah have been attending and participating in outstanding film festivals long before "independent" Paris Hilton and U2 in 3D. Audiences are appreciative and extremely well versed in the very, very best the world of independent cinema has to offer.
We all feel very strongly that the Fear No Film Festival is a place for fearless filmmakers to be showcased and we will do anything we can to support the films and filmmakers that became part of our family and our history in 2008.
