| About Mick Duffy |

Mick Duffy is a Songwriter and Musician from Ballymun on Dublin’s Northside.
In March 2007 Mick released his debut album entitled ‘Awakening’ on his independent label ‘mdm’ records. The Album was recorded at the Qube analogue and digital studios Dublin, with Musician and Producer Colm Quearney.
Mick has spent the first couple of months of 2008 at New Monkey Studios in Los Angeles where he has begun work on his second record. The album is being produced by Fritz Michaud. Fritz has toured as an engineer with many acts over the years including the Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Silver Sun Pickups and more recently Beck. He has also engineered and produced with many artists, most notably Elliott Smith and Autolux.
Also joining the fray are drummer Scott McPherson (Elliott Smith, Beck, Neil Finn, Bright Eyes), guitarist Joel Martin of the Big Believers and Solen Bixler of the band Great Northern.
Mick will be returning to LA later this year to complete the record and also to play some shows.
