Established in 1997 by D. Richardson (AKA Goldenchild) Metropoliz Media is a music television and video production company. Born on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C., Metropoliz started as a promotions company and expanded into music production. Continued expansion has led Metropoliz into the realm of television and video production as well and currently employs six talented individuals. Metropoliz Media also collaborates with several other production companies in New York City, as well as across the country.
Presently, Metropoliz Media is focusing on television production and artist development. The Trashman Show (TheTrashmanShow.com) is an innovative Hip-Hop program that caters to the worldwide Hip-Hop community. The show focuses on open and free discussion of issues in the Hip-Hop community that effect record sales and the fans at large, by way of live street interviews and in depth analysis. Metropoliz Media is currently in production on a series of music projects including: the debut album for UGLYMAN consisting of both rap and stand-up comedy, writing and co-producing selected works for AKIR (Jan/Feb 2005 Source Magazine's Unsigned Hype), Immortal Technique, Cannibal OX (Vast Aire & Vordul Megallah), Backwoodz Studioz: Terror Firma Project, and host of other upcoming artists.
