That is up to the listener. But you can listen to it on your way to the dance-floor, or as you are stepping out of it. Regardless, it will twist and wind and never slow down long enough to let you catch it.
Methodrone is a project that was started in 2007 by 2 friends, Kramer, a DJ and producer performing and living in San Francisco, and Scott a musician and studio knob turner, who is currently living in New York.
Kramer and Scott worked together briefly when Scott was living in San Francisco. While they had talked about working on projects at the time, it was not until 2 years later that they were sitting once again in San Francisco and Kramer suggested that it was the time to try and put a project together. Plans were made, and the studio door closed behind them in New York when things got rolling this July. A follow up session in San Francisco and the duo was able to put the finishing touches on their first effort.
M1: Begins Now The first project that these 2 had embarked on, and is in the planning stages of release as we speak. The sessions yielded 12 songs, which included a blend of textures, melodies, and a leaning to both the dance-floor as well as the downtempo.
M2: Even though the first release has yet to hit the public, the gents from Methodrone are not sitting still. While they have retreated to their respective coasts for the time being, they have started to assemble their next batch of songs for the follow up record. (The first song written for the second record has already put to the dancefloor for testing. The crowds loved it.)
scott has been playing music and working in the studio over the last decade in Chicago, SF, and NYC. Past projects included guitar, production, and song-writing for Chicago band breather.
Kramer is currently performing as a DJ around the US and central america. Over the past 7 years he has released music as a solo producer & re-mixer.
