Mestizo has a "classic Latin rock" sound that is instantly recognizable.
We are a thirteen piece band from San Francisco paying tribute to the music of:
Santana, Malo, El Chicano, War, Sapo, Azteca and some Salsa.
Mestizo has been performing in the Bay Area at many types of venues including:
The Voices of Latin Rock Presents: Mestizo at "The Little Fox Theater", Mezzanine, Pete Escovedo's Club, 19 Broadway, The San Francisco North Beach Festival ( Sat.Mainstage Headliners )The Fillmore Street Festival ( Sun.Headliners ) San Rafael Fiesta Days - ( Sun.Headliners ) Rasselas's Jazz Club - Main Room , The Potrero Hill Street Festival 2007, The San Mateo County Fair, San Francisco's' "Carnival 2008 and 2006", The Glen Park Festival, and as the only band to play by request consecutively seven years in a row at "The Pacific Coast Fog Fest" and most notably at "The Hook and Ladder Ball" held in San Francisco's' City Hall Rotunda , and coporate events.
